Nlsh24An Storage Heater

Hello all,

Trying to fix the above storage heater, and was just t wondering if the thermal cut out was manual reset or it needs replacing. I believe it was a manual reset but when i push down on it there is no click and heater does not work. If i put a screwdriver on the little metal that is sticking up and push it down the heater works. I have checked continuity on elements and input and output stat and they are okay, I have enclosed a picture if anyone could give me a little advice.

if you have rammed a screwdriver in it, chances are you have broken it, so it would need replaced

Fair point, probaly have not done it any favours. I believed it was resettable, the only ones i have seen before are the dimplex ones with the little black push button and  

the thermal fuse links.

Yes it is that one in the thread, are these prone to being faulty?

No, but like any other thermal trip can trip, especially of the heater is covered.
