did a PIR on a DB on thursday need to print it all off tomorrow.

The board was an old 3phase using re-wirable fuses, wired in singles. No cpcs were present in the board, the board was coupled into a pvc 4inch trunking, but all circuits tested out with decent r1+r2 and zs. Being earthed from the conduit and trunking system.

does anyone see a problem with this? Is it even a code 4?

no, as long as the conduit/trunking is in a good sound servicable condition that is perfectly acceptable.

EDIT, how are you getting earth continuity from PVC trunking???????

thats where my problem lies.

There are multiple boards in the area, and I pressume with the trunking system being linked out throughout the building that it is coupled up to these other boards. Now is this actually right with the circuits earth path not really directly connected to the DB I was testing.

in that case I would say no,

whats to stop someone ripping out all the other DBs.? in theory.

how are you measuring R1 R2 ?

linking out at the board? you shouldnt be able to get a reading if you do that on a radial.

Am I missing something? How do you do and get a reading for R1+R2 if no cpc's are present? I join phase and cpc at board and test at outlets. How are you doing it?

phase linked to the earth bolt on the DB. Then test between phase and backbox at accessory.

can you disconnect the incoming earth to the DB?

sounds like you are getting a parrallell path back down the earth of the incomer to another board.

one of them, your meter says its OK, but in reality you know its not right.

I would deffo code it, perhaps a 3 and make some comment about it,

hard to make the call from here, but it does sound like a 2, its not an immediate danger, but it deffo (to me) requires improvement.
