Hi folks,

especially you Noz, am going to prestatyn in may for a weekend caravan trip with the missus and little one,

but, there just happens to be some racing on at Anglesey the same weekend, would it take long to get there from Prestatyn?

an hour or so????

thanks. :)

Yes Steps,

Anglesea is only an hour or so away (maybe 75mins at most to Holyhead)

but there have been a load of roadworks at Llandulas which can be a bit of a pain,, hit them at the right time and there's only 1/2 a mile of traffic, get it wrong and it's 3 miles:(.... but that's the same everywhere I guess what with coulncils trying to spend their budgets before the end of the financial year...

Where are yo staying Steps (PM if you like)

I think its Pontins, or something like that, just a long weekend away.

it just occurred to me that I've never been to any racing at Anglesea so had a look and luckily there is some on the same weekend.

Yep,

there's a Pontins here.... only live about 10 mins away from there... from what I know they went into administration last year and were bought out; I know the old company didn't have a very good reputation but I don't know what the new one is like... plenty of people still go there from what I can tell..

You going for the line dancing weekend? ;) ?

LOL, no, didnt even know that was on, not for me TBH, (unless there are some young cowgirls with boots and short skirts :p )

just checked with the boss,

deffo pontins, or what was pontins, was 'cheap' , or so Im told anyway, only a couple of hours from me so its good for the little one travelling time wise.

I used to work for a firm in Rhyl, so hopefully should be able to find my way there OK, :D

TBH I don't know what they've got on... last weekend it seemed to be rock..

different things going on there all the time.

Not difficult to find at all, if you come down the A548 (coast road) from the end of the M56, as soon as you cross a rail bridge turn right then left and it's just up the road

When are you coming down?

If any of you want to meet up when you're up here I'm sure we can arrange that, before you come give me a ring and we can sort something out.

Just been told that the new owners are doing quite a big refurbished on the place, turning it into more of a motel and keeping the themed weekends.

Long time ago sprocket, a few dodgy bones myself, but no trophies, i was rubbish slow.

I do a bit of spannering now, but would love to give the MGP a last go if finances will ever allow it.

Check out the home page of my profile for one of my mates, or search the forum for motorcycle club for a thread.

I was born and brought up on Anglesey before moving to the Isle of Man in 2006. On my doorstep here is the TT racecourse (37 miles long). It gets pretty lively here in late May/ early June then again in late August we have the Manx Grand Prix. I hope you enjoy the action at Ty Croes Steps ! :)

Steps, where you are going is populated by Mancunians , Scousers and Brummies but don't stray too far southward , its full of Welsh people ...look you... is'nt it... there,s tidy Cariad .

thats why I moved there rev , :D 2000 - 2007

I'll be back for the MGP again, as every year. made some really good friends, I take it you will be following the fortunes of young Mr Kneen the elder at BSB this year then?

the first bike race the now Mrs Steps ever watched was when I was living on the rock and I came over to spanner for Dan and my best mate at a race at Cadwell and my then GF went over from Manchester to see me for a couple of days.

she has been over to the TT a couple of times, and the southern and steam packet.

She might do the Manx next year (with the little one), but I dont usually get a lot of time with getting bikes ready et al .

(actually, we are fairly sure junior was conceived on the rock at the TT :D )
