Whether a sports fan or not , there is excellent TV coverage from the Rio Olympics .    One doesn't have to watch as I said to a neighbour .               I was reminded of a comment I heard about 3 Olympics ago which was .....American TV only screens their own competitors .....how sad is that !            Obviously your country appears if the US is competing against you but it is totally biased in showing the US teams only .  Whether this is still true today I don't know  but it would not surprise me .

No , I think it was to do with the power that the advertisers have over programming  TBH.      You won't see the finals of the Transylvania V the Samoan Archipeligo  Welly wanging contest . 

Not quite so bad as North Korean soccer team threatened with death if they did not win the World Cup .
