Customer recently brought a house done up by a builder, he had put in a new kitchen and thought this was an acceptable form of undercabinet lighting

Marvelous idea,,,

maybe we should do that all the time;) ;)

BTW what phone do you have?

I've a HTC Desire and changed the useless (easily scratched) plastic lens for a Sapphire glass one, not cheap but my photos are much improved and it won't scratch again!

Would have been better if he had punched holes in the side of the can to distribute the light around better. :p

Could be another argument for the case of getting rid of limited scope!! which will cause problems for those that do the job correctly.

You sure its not a new method of heating beans and other tins. Like a microwave but for cans?

its was 240v gu10 downlight off a switch fuse (5a) off a spurred socket, i very much doubt he was even limited scope registerd as the current home owners, a lovely retired couple, said the wife of the builder popped round to pick up the post so they tried to take the oppertunity to ask her about some of the suspect wiring they found in the propery. she shot off like the road runner:run

on another note british gas came round to same house to do boiler their sparky added switch spur for it and ran the cable in the same channel as the hot and cold feeds, litterally touching the cold pipe for over a meter, client asked the sparky if that was ok and he said its fine as its the cold pipe:slap
