The following displays why builders should stick to shoveling muck off of a board & buttering up bricks.

Ok so it's only a board to supply things while they are building...............even so rough as.....+ no thought to where the board will be on final install, you cant see it but the front door will open on to it............I see trouble ahead :slap

So what do you do when you clatter the brick into the cavity when putting in back boxes? Sand & cement to re-seat the brick.....Nope

So you've got a two storey new build attached to an existing property, rather than running cables round the ceiling void through the joist, you decide to run down stairs circuits in the (yet to be laid) screed.........not a problem just need to place the cables in conduit?

Que builders idea of conduit.

So how do you connect waste pipe as conduit to a back box........................No need that's what capping is for.

How do you get cables round an RSJ.....Just drill it with a small hole.

Love the loop over the RSJ to the right.

Or pull them through a very tight gap.

At this point I had to put the camera away as the neighbor turned up :innocent , but I'm waiting to see what they do for the cooker, there seems to be a 6mm T/E circuit (I assume for cooker) That looks like it will terminate above worktop level (Plaster board fitted already) at a switch.................they seem to have forgotten to drop to below the worktop level for an outlet :Applaud

I will get back in once the internal walls up, should be interesting as they haven't left any way to get sockets& switches on any internal walls :coat

I wonder what the select committee would make of that little lot with regard to part Pee

I have it on good authority the builder had a sparks lined up to 3rd party sign off, fortunately for the sparky he turned up out of the blue & told the builder to do one at which point it turned into a huge row in the middle of the street.

And no I have no involvement with this build/install at all...............unless I get a knock at the door asking for me to take a look :slap ........................now where is the number for building control.

It wasn't switched off before I took the picture.  And I didn't remove the cover.  The SWA was feeding the site hut.
