I've got a box full of old crabtree c50's in varying ratings, probably around 50 single phase and a handful of 3ph plus a couple of main switches.

What do you reckon..... worth anything to anyone or just bin them? Hate to throw stuff out but are they any use now?

The earliest C50s were to BS3871 but had no type number so are regarded as type 4s so are no good now, later ones were to BS3871 type 2 so can't be used on new installs but could be of use for replacements, the more recent C50s were BSEN60898 type C so may comply in some installations. Hang on to the type Cs and bin the rest.

You can tell which is which by the colour of the amperage numeral. Only problem is i have forgotten which is which. Peeps on the IET forum are always looking for these ( were mainly used on industrial)
