Hi everyone I'm new to the forum It's a question about a socket outdoor the consumer board is not RCD would I be ok to put in an IP 66 sockets with RCD outside a weatherproof one does that satisfy the regulations

Yes whatever work you do has to comply with bs7671 and im sure would be notifiable too

All so depends on where your running your cable from, if it's going to be run inside the house and buried in a wall less than 50 mm deep then the cable will need rcd protection. So an rcd fcu may be needed and then a normal ip socket outside.

outdoor sockets must be RCD protected, so install an RCD socket (all in one). needs notifying though.
