The real conspiracy is global warming.

Now we we cannot eat meat.

And global warming nutters wonder why they are not taken seriously.

Oh dear not the old green save the planet bit again, global warming is a cyclical event, there's going to be another ice age whatever we do,eventually the planet will die, everything has a finite life it's as simple as that. There are  2 things in life that are certain,1) if saving the planet is so important why is it so expensive? I mean if a conventional lamp is so harmful but an led one isn't then why is the lamp only 50p but the led is 3 quid? surely since the ordinary lamp is "dangerous" then it should be dearer, if it was that important it wouldn't matter about so called development of production costs would it? Look at this and you'll see where I'm coming from, lets imagine there's a serious accident and the casualty needs to go to hospital,it's going to take an hour and a half by road and the patient will probably not survive,or 10 minutes by helicopter and the patient lives. Now the helicopter costs a lot more than a land ambulance but, they don't look at the patient and decide not to use the helicopter as it's too expensive do they?

Second one for the thinkers to work out, people thousands of years ago were much smarter than us,lets be honest they knew the future didn't they? After all how did they know about the coming of Christ, think about it how come we've got BC and AD,how did the people in say a certain year know it was BC? Yes I know it's academic but its good for something to mull over when you can't sleep.lol

please see all previous posts about whether climate change is currently natural cycle or not, or save yourself the bother and accept it isn't.

I've posted this particular topic because it is the 'elephant in the room' that non of the big environmental lobby groups are banging on about, yet it's impacts are worse than Carbon Fuels. But even they seem scared of confusing people / affecting buisness / something else ?

As I have said before. We as the human race are so insignificant it is embarrassing. If all the keys on a piano were a time line of the life time of planet Earth then our time on this planet accounts to about a hairs width on the piano. As ever with humans. We think we are a lot more important than we actually are.

To to actually think we can effect how this planets systems work is astounding. We do not import anything onto this planet. Anything we do release into the atmosphere are chemicals and materials that are already here.

Natural chemicals like DDT, PCBs, Ozone depleting refridgerants, leaded petrol and diesel. I was working in a rented flat, the tennant was American, and her father had been exposed to agent orange in Vietnam, this has caused numerous health defects for her, and if she ever has kids, will cause the same problems for them to, the chemical is so pernicious it transfers to the next genreation. The only cure is not to have children. Very Natural.

As for not affecting the planet, where did all the whales go?, Where have all the fish gone?, What happened to Dodos (incidentally they weren't tasty apparently) and all the other species that have become extinct due to the activities of mankind. Remember acid rain, that stripped the paint off cars and almost completely destroyed Norways and Swedens ecology. Then there was Cernobyl that spread radiation aroound the globe and affected sheep in the UK. We haven't done 1 really big thing that affects the globe, it's more a cummulative affect of numerous bad ideas (seemed good ideas at the time) and now there's billions more people than there has ever been just to pile the pressure on.

The worlds problems are caused by humans, the answers lie with humans, when we can be arsed to do anything which is usually a bit late and it has turned into a true disaster.

Alternatively we can continue as the blind leading the blind, remember we only ever borrow this planet off of the future generations. But I guess to some that's not important as they wont be around that long to see the result of their actions now?

What was that huge thing that almost killed all of the life on this Earth?  Oh year. A meteor.  Still life recovered and went from strength to strength.

Yes you are correct Essex but that is a result of natural events and there will always be natural effects that can/could seriously effect the planet.

And and you are again correct, 'life recovered' it will by default being life, now if you'd said 'death recovered' the I'd be impressed!

and now we are killing life off with our stupidity.

As I keep saying, the planet will survive, but at the moment we are making it a poorer place for us, our children, etc etc
