Hi all

Just got the EICR back to day and going thought it , and sorting out all the codes 2 and 3 out

which one of them is , The PFC exceeds the board of the mcbs which is  3 phase 100A

with this it has a BS 88 63 amps fuse on the other side ,

its the way he has worded it

any ideas would be great full

sorry thats what he has put on the report , Trying to phone him to find out more but he is on leave

was on leave, got a firm in to test the main feeds from the, main plant room, which is on busbar to fuse box BS88 fuse 63A= 35m swa  feed the buildings

its a army camp and thats what he put on the report - The PFC exceeds the board of the mcbs

regards

Yes, there should be an actual reading, a certain number of KA.

If he hasn't taken a measurement and recorded that info, then his poorly worded statement is meaningless.

I'm guessing he means the prospective fault current exceeds the breaking current of the mcbs ... And the mcbs may be trying to interrupt some mS before the 63A fuse does...

But without seeing and testing it who knows ....

MCBs protect what is downstream of them, as long as fault current downstream is lower than Ka rating there isn't an issue - there was a long protracted discussion about this some time ago, anyone good at searching this site care to go find?
