Powered Bathroom Mirror

Hi,I am about to install a mirror in my bathroom which requires 240v for lights etc.

Currently inside my bathroom I have a light and extractor fan which both turn on and off together with the pull cord.

These are coming off a fused spur just outside my bathroom which also turns both off.

I want to wire my mirror up so it has power to turn its lights on without having the main bathroom light and extractor on.

Do I wire the mirror directly to the fused spur to achieve this ?

Probably seems a little too vague for electrical work....

its about as vague as your question. there is a lot more to electrical work than just sticking a cable into a spur. for a start, have you checked the earthing is upto standard? have you checked that the circuit is adequately RCD protected including all other circuits in the bathroom? do you have the necessary test equipment to ensure the work is done safely? so yes, it probably is just a case of connecting a cable to the spur, in addition to everything else
