not even that far from me,

I was going to say,

they're not the cheapest,

but, they are the only ones Ive seen so far so I cant say they are expensive, and, tbh, they arent that much more expensive than normal pozi's

First time i saw them I was an apprentice. Rewire, taking down old braided flex pendants on wooden pattresses. Confused as a confused thing as it was a bit dark and no matter what driver I used it would not fit in the screw head, until i rived it off the ceiling and found the recess to be square. Then the story was told to me about Uncle Sam providing fixings and sundries

best screw ever made,

were a big thing when I was an apprentice,

they wedge on the driver so wont fall off even if you are screwing downwards with them.

I remember a driver for them costing over a fiver, a lot of money then,

Ive still got it, will get a pic later,,,,,,

I have a OHM-tight(many years old) and a new one that works the same way made by CK

some Stanley square drivers,

I got these about 18years ago, note how they are colour coded for different sizes,

my original 'Robertson' driver [from about 25years ago] with the square handle is in the van in my everyday box, and its bloody freezing so im not going out there tonight.

I've used nothing but square head screws for over 20years! I've all sorts of attachments and bits too for cordless drivers etc. I'm in N.Ireland and surprised your not the same across the water

yep, Im from Ballymena [hi] originally, and thats what we used for everything 20+  yrs ago,

they never seemed to catch on over in mainland UK, or most anywhere else Ive been,

cant hardly get them here, I was paying stupid money for them til I got that link,

what wholesalers do you get them from? I'll see if my local will stock some, and DONT say CEF,  :slap

I haven't darkened the doorway of a CEF branch in many years! Hate them with a passion  X(

I'm based in Bangor so get a lot of stuff from Direct Fixings in Balloo and our main tendered electrical wholesalers are Gordons in Ballynahinch. I would order each size of screw from 1/2" x 8 up to 3" x 10 in their thousands at a time  :B-
