A while back I won this label printer from PE Magazine so I gave my trusty old one to my M8 .

We have been using the old one until now ,it was nice and simple, you type in letters and press print .

This new one is a PITA TBH .

Does anyone have one and can offer an answer? Its a Brother P-Touch 7500/7600 .

Keep trying to make labels , it keeps saying TEXT TOO HIGH 1 BLOCK

I cannot find an answer in the handbook , it really Pees me off TBH , if I hadn't given the old one away this would be in the skip by now!!!!

Its on page 88, the text is larger than the tape size, so you have to reduce the size of text or set it to auto text.

Press the format button - then use the arrows to reduce the text size down. Or use a larger tape cartridge.

There doing brother p1000 touch in aldi ATM for 12 quids. I got one few days ago and am well impressed seeing there normally around 30 quids cheers

I think auto text may be best for Deke.

I suspect the label he's having bother with is the first label we all make

"Deke's label machine" or similar

Lidl, that is, Mate. :)

Sandra, On my Brother Label printer machine (Can't remember make) the sizes are represented by either 1, 2 or 3 Hashes.

# = 6mm

## = 9mm

### = 12mm

Scrap that - that was the tape size. :Blushing

Thanks for useful replies (and the adverts for Aldi and Lidl) I'll take another crack at it tonight . No work today so sitting on the beach in sunny Birmingham listening to the birds coughing and reading my book. The tide is a long way out today !!

Thanks for the help guys , I now have it sussed out . The handbook just seems to be over complicated, to me anyway. And ,strangely, the buttons are in alphabetical order not "qwerty " How our minds have adjusted to the "qwerty" .

The machine itself ,to me , does too much, even barcodes.

I'd have binned it if you guys hadn't come up with an answer TBH. No patience ,me these days.

i have the 2480 version. i know most of its features, but there are still times when you get to something tis never done before (no idea what the book says. probably went in the bin the same time as the packaging did)
