This is a serious problem and not to be laughed at, I purchased a coconut today in the weekly shop (as a change).

So my question is what is the best way to get into the wee ******, i am at the stage of getting my hammer and chisel from the van.

Please help as i have been looking forward to it all day. PrayPrayPray

right i have asked the question and you do have to make small hole in it, with your hammer but dont crack it completely because the milk is insdie,

so make hole, drain milk, then use chisel and hammer to open it full to get the white stuff on the inside. hope that helps

Drill out, or bang a nail through, two of the "eyes" at the top, then drain the milk. Drink milk (or use to make a nice Masala sauce).

Next, hit it with a big hammer to break the shell. Cut flesh from broken bits. Eat.

PS. This is a serious answer. ;)

Didn't know coconuts went that far north ! Perhaps you should stick with the haggis and tatties!! I tried a haggis once , when up there at Loch Long, bloody 'orrible never again. ;)

To cut the coconut strike it on the seam with your machette.

At least with a coconut you know whats inside, do you really know the makings of a haggis??? ]:)

Well i was very careful, with my coconut, two small holes in the top drained 'milk' (poured down drain). Then carefully took one almighty swing at the dammed thing, it laughed!!!!!! ]:) . made me angry!!!!!!!

Its now in pieces in the kitchen, :^O :^O:^O,
