Everyone should have had to resign back in after the forum upgrade.

But if you look at the "Remember Me" box where you sign - that should be ticked as standard. And keep you logged in.

Naturally, if you are on a shared pc, you always untick this box as with any site. It is smply because you don't want anyone else who uses that shared pc after you, to use your Username etc.

With regards to security issues - There are NONE with this forum!

I should say that it is as secure as it can be - Nothing is 100% secure - Not even banks and Military Networks etc.

That reminds me Lurch - I have a new avatar for you...

This forum is completely upto date on the security. Hence the upgrade.

I wasn't meaning it was unsecure as such, but no site is 100% secure. If this site is 100% secure, and 100% unhackable, then I am sure there will be a queue of people wanting to give you vast sums of money for your coding skillz.

I didn't mean it was insecure in a 'we left the door wide open' way, more like 'your house is insecure' in that there's always weak points.

That is all.

Thanks Lurch - I guessed what you meant that is why I corrected my statement above. :|

I see that.

Phew, sorted something out without a page of arguing. I need a lie down.

Does everyone actually log out after a session , I do , as with banking, etc. ?
always logged in. site like this, FF remembers all the username/passwords anyway. no passwords/usernames are stored for site needing higher security though

How do you remember all your logins & passwords?
i know most of them.... there are some that i cant remember though....

been a few times whe ive had to use the lost password and had to get it re-set. or sign up again in some cases

Only time I ever have to use the password recovery feature is when the site imposes stupid password limitations meaning my usual 16-24 character super random password doesn;t work. I then forget the stupid basic one.

I always just type the first two letters of the website - autocomplete finishes it for me, and I`m on the "Main Category" page. I did have to re-log in after the forum upgrade, but that`s the only time since getting the new lappy.

;)
