Working away in the foreign land they call London.

Incoming dno cable into a basement flat is cloth covered as shown in photo below.

Should this be upgraded ? Not the neatest dno install i know.

Thoughts please good people.

Yes i know there is something missing from the cut out. That's because I'm fitting a new Cu and I asked the seal fairy last night to remove the seals, and magically this morning they were gone 🤔☺️

Old PILC cable wrapped with impregnated hessian. Under that is either steel tape or wire armour.
 
The head at some point has been changed so someone thought it was okay. Not ideal it is hanging it's weight on the head but have seen plenty of these like washing lines across basements, London is full of them.
