I was called out earlier , ( 8.00pm)  to an address where I'd replaced the C/U  2 years ago .     General confusion coming down the phone .....  "All the power gone  ...I turned all the things off and back on ,,, then I phoned EON  as there was a power cut ...... but there wasn't ...........  then it was all on again,,,we went to Tesco and half the house was off when we got back ..... but now we can't cook anything "

Blokes two sons made it obvious they didn't like  me due to my colour

Well, that is actually racial discrimination, why should you have to put up with it?

It is after all a criminal offence.

After 2 years you are under no warranty obligation to return.

If you don't feel comfortable with the situation (and I certainly would not have) I would just leave, and let them get someone else.

As others have said, racial discrimination is (at least supposed to) apply to ALL races, not just "special" ones. So try phoning the police and report the racial abuse incident (and do tell us their response)

Tosser #2   ignores me ...takes phone and plugs it in elswhere where it also no longer works .  Not seen again .

Dad says what do I owe you .  at 3/4 hour I was going to say £30  ...upped that to a £50  callout .  No drink offered.  No thank you for coming out .

I just think ...if you don't like white people why do you live in England ?   And by the way ...yer house is a tip. 

Just thinking back ...when I replaced the C/U the bloke's missus was unpleasant .

PD :    Can't really tell the police they " were unpleasant" towards me .    Round here they'd probably say " Get over it  it only works one way .

That was my point though Deke, they can be hateful to you, but, if you even suggest the merest hint of any unpleasantness to them in any way means shape or form, that is arrestable racism.

I had it years ago , working on a petrol refinery /storage plant for a large contractor .   Most of their formen seemed to be irish ( Republic)  , the crew were nearly all Paddys or Scousers of Irish descent  .

I soon realised that a few things were setting me apart .

I was English.

I was not a Roman Catholic.

I was time served .

I didn't meet them in a well known city club on Fridays and buy the forman drinks .

I tended to use my initiative instead of waiting to be told.

I was often late .

I didn't last there too long

Just come back from the curry house, it being run by Bangladeshis you'd think I might be going down that obvious road with this post. But first a bit of history: I work with a couple of Gurkha lads, ex army engineers. Helpful, cheerful etc. You'd deffo want them on your side! Anyway, one lives down in Maidstone and his mate (again ex service) runs a general store down there. I keep meaning to pop down and stock up on the old curry spices.

So, the shop owner gets mugged one night by two white guys out with his wife. He was getting money for the following day's cash and carry run. Made the national press. Ends up on his back on the floor with the guy on top trying to gut him. What the idiot white chav doesn't realise is the Gurkha lad is a bit handy. He blocks the knife etc, doesn't realise he's been stabbed and proceeds to "restrain" the mugger.

So back to this evenings curry run. I'm in there and the owner and I often have a chat. He's a black belt in Judo and I mentioned the Gurkha being stabbed a while back. Now I'm sure he didn't have the "right" words but tonight he came straight out with "How's your ****** chonk friend then?"

Nearly spilt my Kingfisher!

there's certainly no love lost between some of the nationalities living in the UK. Oddly enough most 'Indians' are actually run by Bangladesh immigrants, or at least around Plymouth they are. I like Gurkas, my ex marine mates have great respect for them, and they truly want to be British.

Where i live is the most horrible, dangerous, run down dump you could imagine. We are home apparently, to the largest somali community out side of somalia. You can just imagine.

Now, on friday night, at between about midnight, and about 2-30 in the morning, i was walking the streets of a place i used to live years ago when i was a kid, Sunderland as it happens. Peace, perfect peace. Even outside seafront clubs and hotels, yes there were people drinking outside, only sitting round tables in a civilised manner and not swearing, fighting, and throwing bottles about.

Just this morning i realised why.... everyone was shall we say, not of foreign ancestry, well, not in the last 1000 odd years anyway.

No litter, no "street art" nor the smell of drugs....
