hello

swaping rad for towel rad,

its plastic pipe lookes to be 10mm not worked with this befor so i have a couple of questions thanks.

1 will any plastic 10mm pushfit elbow work and do i need inserts

2 the bottem of the rad is about level with the pipework, would straight or right angle valves be best

3 can i cut it with a hack saw and give it a little sand

4 do the push fit valves work in the same way

Any 10mm pushfit elbows should work, although ideally try not to mix and match, and yes you'd need inserts.

Up to you, depends what fits and looks best.

3 can i cut it with a hack saw and give it a little sand
Definitely not. RTFM.

4 do the push fit valves work in the same way
In the same way as what?

thanks lurch.

do they work the same as the push fit elbows, with inserts,

i was looking at some and you have to insert them 23mm for 10mm pipe,

is this the same for all pushfits

Well, they'll all be similar in that they all need inserting yes.

The inserts are used to prevent the plastic pipe from deforming so the inserts should be used on any joints.

as for cutting i do have one of these awkward things, on the review some one cuts swa, not too sure how well that would work out

a stanley knife will cut it,

on barrier pipe we never use inserts, normal pipe we do, sometimes the insets actually cause leaks the rubbers pull off wen inseted into the fitting :(

or use ur cutters that you cut ur trunking with ....same tool.
