I'm trying to work out how many 4 x 36W HF fittings I can supply from an RCBO - C type 10A; and are there likely to be earth leakage issues with the above? In fact do I even need RCBOs for circuits in a T-bar ceiling. Village Hall install.

Had no problem with them on RCDs/RCBOs

Need to work out your load.

4x36Watt fitting x 1.8 = circuit watts = 260 W /fitting

10 Amps = 2.3 Kwatt Max (230 V x 10A)

I make that 8 fittings per circuit max

Not if the cable is run surface or has other suitable means of protection. As a village hall i would consider this as more of a commercial property than domestic, as in doesn't really need RCBOs for lights or sockets, but would probaly do sockets regardless to protect things like bouncy castles and the like on fair days etc etc

Not to sure whether when using HF fittings that you have to use the 1.8 factor as with there being no choke as in earlier fittings the is no in rush off current as it would bugger up the electronics.
