Prompted by Robbo's forthcoming assessment .

Just had my 4th yearly re- assessment with ELECSA this morning 10th Nov.

Does anyone else find it nerve racking or it it just me ?

Guy that does the assessment is excellent, friendly and approachable , ex-trade, knows his stuff . I think its the driving test syndrome. ELECSA seem to be a friendly outfit.

How do you find the others ?

Deke

I know what you mean:^O

I am with NICEIC,and have had 2 asesments with them now,you allways think it is going to be worse than it actualy is.

Like you say the guy`s they send out are at least freindly and approachable, and at best ex sparkie`s who know the game and offer some good advice.

At the end of the day i think you would have to do something very stupid or dangerous in order to fail but they are still nerve racking.Guiness DrinkGuiness DrinkGuiness DrinkGuiness Drink

Got my first assessment with NICEIC at end of month. Not looking forward to it at all. Been through the paperwork for the jobs their inspecting so many times the papers almost worn thro. Must have done the jobs about 7 times in me head. Gawd I be glad when its donePray

Know how you feel Mikel, trouble is they walk and talk the regs, just try to demonstrate that you have a good working knowledge of testing and the results you should be seeing.

Don't forget they all need membership to survive ! The NICEIC must have been affected by the emergence of the other outfits, no longer a monopoly, You'll get in , don't worry.

Thanks for the vote of confidence deke, I think it's the not knowing what they ask and are looking for that causes the worry and the fact they gave me 6 weeks notice of the assessment. Would have been less worrying if they'd have said we're coming to see you tomorrow. :p

He asked that one last year Slips, how did you know ? Plus why do we use the X5 trip test , that threw me last year. I don't live and breath regs and testing results , I have to keep checking the book for things like that. Theres enough problems just getting through the day sometimes
