Hi Guys

can any one help me out NICEIC inspection due next week asking to look at risk assesments any one give me any guidance as to what they are looking for.

As i do not want to produce aload of assesments for no reason

Hello Bryn, are you referring to an NICEIC dom inst inspection? ?:|

are you approaching it as a sole trader? ?:|

If so all you should need is to download a copy of 'Stating Your business'

"Health And Safety Policy: Guidance on preparing a Health And Safety Policy for small firms."

It's what one of their inspectors told me to download a few years back..

and they have been perfectly happy with since then...

last inspection was last Wednesday... Still OK and acceptable.

It is about 15 sheets covers basic H&S and various sections you fill in your business name and the persons responsible for H&S

(i.e. You! :D )

page 14 has a list of Key areas of risk.

I have NEVER been asked for any separate Risk assessment.

some of those other links & sheets are geared more toward larger business such as those with employers responsibilities.
