I listened to some of Glenn's last album while I was driving around

London.  Some of the most moving stuff I have heard.  His voice

never aged, it just got better.

That is a cracking piece of archive Evans;  wonderful.

Was that Rita Tushingham at the start?  In that famous

film made in Salford called A Taste of Honey (IIRC) there

is a shot of a little girl, slightly dishevelled, walking past

from left to right in the shot.  She turned out to be the

famous (and slightly infamous) MP for Salford, Hazel Blears.

Who remembers the expenses debacle?

Yes Techie  it is Rita Tushingham at the start ,  as you say , a clip from A Taste of Honey .     ( also see Beatles song of same name)   Don't know about the other thigs though .      Some of the images remind me of where I grew up , in a different world ,  half of it bombed flat by the Luftwaffe ....we played in the streets from morning till night , as in those images ,  before peadeo,s were invented I guess.

I think Evans, that these things have been cooked up in our imaginations by the overzealous

media and the press.  That is NOT to say that they do not exist.
