Route to Full Electrician Status

Hi all,

I'm after some advice. I have my 2382 and am registered with Elecsa for domestic insallations but would like to take things further. Is their an educational route I could follow, bearing in mind i am a mature student, to gaining the required qualifications to reach full electrician status. Sick to death of reading about dodgy companies offering the world for a massive fee, and being economical with the truth about required qualifications, so won't touch them. I have a good local college but need to know what to apply for.

I would like to gain at least 2391 but believe that this is included in some educational routes. I have read about 2330 on the forum and various other courses but am a little in the dark as to how to go about things, if indeed I can.

Am I better off concentrating on 2391 and stopping there? i.e sticking to domestic.

Your thoughts and help greatly appreciated.

2391 is I&T. dpesnt mean you know the theory behind electrics etc. ideally you should have 2330. Admin is doing this, he should be able to give you more advice on it

Industry Certification in Essential electrics,

Emergency first aid certificate

Part P defined scope,

C&G 2377 - PAT testing.

C&G 2330-201 Working effectively and safely.

C&G 2330-202 Principles of electro technology.

C&G 2330-203 Application of Health and Safety and electrical principle

C&G 2330-204 Practical for above.

C&G 2382-10 certificate 17th Edition

Full scope part P theory and practical

Logic certification - Domestic periodic inspection report.

C&G 2330-301 Application of health and safety and electrical principles.

C&G 2330-302 Inspection, Testing and Commissioning.

C&G 2330-303 Installation (Buildings and Structures) falut diagnosis and Rect.

C&G 2391- Practical Exam

C&G 2391- Written Exam

AM2

ABOVE TO GET FULL SCOPE INSTALLER

C&G 2356 - NVQ 3 EVENTUALLY

Don't know if this is any help of even if it's all needed etc.
