Hi, im after some advice on safe zones, i hope this makes sense im rewiring the up stairs nights and the cu is understairs, the slope of the stairs goes into the next room, i can get the cables behind the plaster board into the floor void then up the wall into the loft, is this ok or do i have to go straight up the wall which is a lot more mess

The bit im unsure about is the slope i have worked with people u have run cables like this

I recently did a job with cu understairs So cables were run down slope of stairs and then in cupboard understairs. Because wall had been lined with plasterboard I cut this back then chased wall out and run cables down chase. I brought some 5mm plate and put this over cables which was then earthed. This was a total refurbishment so plasterboard was then put over plate and plastered. This was probably over the top as cables were well in the wall and very unlikely to be disturbed but better to be safe than sorry. Any job you have got to ask is anybody likely to drill or fix something were cables are and if its possible I put an earthed plate over unless it is in a safe zone.
