Supporting Member Joined Mar 28, 2008 Messages 14,523 Reaction score 1,204 May 24, 2008 #3 If the loft is easily accessible... e.g. has a built in loft ladder.. and has good fixed lighting.... and has a suitably positioned beam you can fix transformer onto, keeping all connections accessible for inspection & testing then can't see any problem.. often there is no suitable bathroom space or airing cupboard ... and they can look a bit unsightly out on the landing! so any other accessible position with suitable isolation switch such as the loft would be ok IMO.
