My Triton Opal 2 has started to mis-behave.

Sometimes when you take a shower it goes really hot and sometimes you hear a click as if it is switching internally and then it goes cold.

The low pressure light does not illuminate to indicate a problem there.

The cable is more than adequate to carry the load current so that can be eliminated.

Anyone care to comment

Many thank`s

About a year old but god knows where the receipt is.

The strange thing is that today i was sent to a job and they had an opal shower aswell and the same thing was happening.

Whilst it was happening at the job i was on you could also see the bathroom light dimming every time it happened

Is the neutral ok i've had shower probs before where the water was hot and cold.Lights seems ok but dimming.

Found a bad connection in the pullcord on neutral

Have the serial number ready and ring the Triton customer service..

I think it may be a faulty circuit card, which could probably be under manufactures warranty.

even without a receipt they would be able to suss out the age of the shower off the serial number...

so give em ring and ask first of all!

I have the same shower, more than a year old but we had a visitor who didnt understand that a single press of the 'stop' button was all that was required and repeatedly stabbed at it breaking it. A new plastic button assembly is needed. Still works great but button falls off so might try that number and see if I can get one (dont mind paying if I have to) any ideas where the serial number is?

A rating label is located on the underside of the unit, which includes the model name, kW rating and the manufacture date code (ACCEPTABLE FOR WARRANTY REGISTRATION). Inside the unit there is a further product-rating label, which has the same information and also the serial number.

Fairly normal when the heater is kicking in and out. More than likely the overheat stat, I've changed quite a few on Triton showers as they either start misbehaving or just melt the contacts.

Triton showers have two year guarantee so you should be covered.
