Straight swaps can often have a change of riser rail length, manufactures may keep the same base size and guts for models from one year to the next. But occasionally they change the dimensions of the rail, straight vs curved, long vs short, new molded wall brackets or something else. This can leave a bit of re-drilling and patching old screw holes. Bit of silicon or ready mixed grout helps with this. While the old shower is off I would suggest a full set of tests on the cable while you have some open ends to work on. I would think you need to allow 1/2 a day to leave yourself a comfortable unrushed job.

While you are changing the shower don't forget to allow some time to double check the isolator switch, especially if its a cord pull. You don't want the customer ringing you back 4 weeks later with a fault due to lose connections in the switch. Or better still suggest to the customer you will bring a new switch and upgrade that at the same time for an extra

Tip.

If the customer wants a Triton shower, go to Wickes and buy a Wickes own brand shower.

It's a Triton inside, but a LOT cheaper.

I've been using and fitting these for years.

Second tip. Check the water inlet position of the old shower. If the new one is the same, it's a simple swap. If not, you might have some awkward plumbing to sort out first to get the water to the right place.
