I should like to dispel all rumours, which you may post on any other forum of your desire.

The TEF servers have not been compromised in any way whatsoever.

We have a 99.99% uptime and take our hardware and security seriously.

Surely TEF must get DNS attacks from time to time?

Maybe it was Skelton? He did a 5 week course in hacking :slap
All servers on the internet get attacked, it depends on your hardware and security levels as to how compromised you become.

We take security seriously and there has been no breach or hacking.

I have not posted anything on other forums but repeating what the owner of the site has stated.

I believe you owe me an apology

I am not getting into an argument or apologising for something you have mis-read

To me that read that you may post on any other forum to dispel all rumour that we haven't been hacked.

If you try to access the site from google search results sometimes you get redirected to a spam site.

I clicked on the 'Question & Answer Board' option on the google results page.

And I was redirected to this;

It only seems to happen occasionally and it's never happened to me for any other site. I just ran a full AV workup and it's nothing at my end.

If you want any more details just let me know and I'll try assist if possible.

Just to dispel the rumors

We are having a problem with redirects (occasionally) from google to some random sites.

However the servers have not been hacked and the database is clean.

IPB are working on the issue as to date all we know is that no admin accounts or ftp accounts have been compromised and there has been no attack on MySql.

When we find out the root cause of the problem it will be reported here.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I too was re-directed earlier to "adultfriendfinder" as Marvo was. This just by typing "talk electrician" into Google and clicking the first link. Immediately ran AVG, Spyhunter etc and all came up clean. Is this what they call a "pop up"?

At least I've managed to join another forum out of it!

What "popped up" then?

Can those that have seen the redirect please check to see if this is still present.

We have applied some php patches and would like this checked.

We are back online, please report any problems in the forum support area.

We should now be clean.
