problem i dont like with sky installers (most anyway) is they throw the cabke round roof tops and chuck over building any how with not a care in the world about how the cabling looks as longs as its a quick job!!

Is there a special crimper for doing the coax plugs on sky stuff?
Depends how good you want it to be. Standard screw on F connectors will be fine, all you need is a stanley knife and a pair of cutters, just ensure you choose the right diameter for your cable.

You could, if you wanted to spend loads of money on tools, use crimp on F connectors (pretty good results depending on which ones you get) or the Thomas & Betts Snap and Seal. I love using the latter.

Well, just done it. Fitted new LNB and an extra line back to the box. Switched on and phoned sky, they talked me through a set up process and swapped the box details over. No need for a new card. Up and running in no time at all!

Thanks for the advice.
