Does anyone know how to read the Secure gas and electric smart meters installed by eon

They left instructions how to read the small display but not the meters

They are not pay as you go.

I have contacted eon and they did not know believe it or not

usually a button to go through the displays, one of them being total units used

There are 12 buttons 0-9,A and B, and you can press each one several times and get several kWh readings, so I do not want to guess.

The actual meter not the fancy all singing all dancing box thingy that tells you what you are consuming.

I know BG use their own meters but most still use the one in the link above.

no the meter does not look like any of these, it is made by Secure

I can find user instructions for their pay as you go smart  meter but not for a standard smart meter

Why do you need to read the meter? Surely the infomation is displayed on the smart display and isn't the point of a smart meter that you don't need to read it?

i have a couple of customers who have smart meters and have been over charged or sent estimated bills.

Dont trust smart meters to bill you correctly

We've had smart meters for Gas and Electric since about 2006.....

Bills always spot on....

No estimates...

Can view up to past 12 months stats on the house display gizmo...

No arsing about either waiting for meter readers to call...

or me manually entering readings via the phone or internet web sites..

personally I wouldn't go back to traditional meters.
