Careful, Big brother is listening...

Samsung is warning customers to avoid discussing personal information in front of their smart television set.

The warning applies to TV viewers who control their Samsung Smart TV using its voice activation feature.

Such TV sets "listen" to every conversation held in front of them and may share any details they hear with Samsung or third parties, it said.

First thing I did was turn off voice and hand recognition as I found both very annoying. Even pushed the camera down as using it for Skype was rubbish.

It may have improved with latest updates but not tried it and only ever watched 3D for 10 minutes before deciding that was not for me.

However as a normal TV the Samsung Smart TV is great

So the answer is.... unplug the network cable or wifi adaptor!
Not much use as a smart TV then lol

I hate "voice recognition".  On my android phone the only time it worked was when the "OK Google" adverts where on, the phone just went into autopilot from them on!

It's now safely turned off on any device I have that it should work for.  With my accent, it didn't work on any of them anyway lol!
