Smoke alarm interconnections

Does anyone have a diagram to show how interconnections on smokes are wired up? / how many cores are required? cheers

you need an extra core to run between them... thats it.

its all in the manufacturers instructions

Twin and earth to the first from the board then 3 core from the first to the second, then third etc etc. Ypu are talking about domestic smokes arnt you?

dont forget if your putting one in the kitchen use a heat detector, its wired in the same

Don't forget to fit the same make throughout the whole house. In other words, don't expect the interlink to work between different makes of detector. Particularly important if mixing smoke and heat detectors.
