Planning to fit AICO smokes in a 2 up, 2 down terrace. Not really looking to mess with the decor or go surface if I can help it. The ONLY existing cable route up into the loft area runs from under the floor in one of the upstairs bedrooms, up inside the solid wall (miles from any "zone") to the loft space. This is within a bit of  less than 20mm dia STEEL conduit - imperial I wonder?

Currently the conduit contains x1 redundant TV co-ax and x1 1mm/1.5mm T&E for the upstairs and loft lighting. Aiming to ditch the co-ax and run the 3-core and earth up alongside the lighting T&E. Hoping the co-ax will pull out nice and easy but I can see the Yellow 77 coming out.

Am I setting myself up do you think for any mutual interference issues?

Cheers

If you have a mix of conductors their insulations should all

be commensurate with that of the conductor with the highest

operating voltage.

I think I have expressed that correctly.

I could quote the reg. but I do not have it to hand.  This

may be more important than the Mutual Detrimental

Influence you have mentioned.

P.S. what is yellow 77?

Cheers. Both cables will be T&E and both taking 230V. Maybe it was something I read in some AICO blurb.............

"77" - It's "proper" cable pulling lube..........................aka WD40, washing up liquid, lard, KY or whatever the corner shop nearest the job does etc
