Sneaky suppliers

Last week a "supplier" told me that they could see I have opened an email they sent me.

My email system is set to block read receipts !

My ISP tells me that some companies are now using "sneaky" processes to embed images in their emails to do this without you knowing.

nothing new. many emails contain unique links to websites or images, automatically downloading the image will go to that unique link, and because its been viewed, they know youve looked at it

everything of mine is set to not open any images automatically, unless its a websites ive allowed it to
