Spiders and Asbestos

Guys just to run this past people heard a strange rumour earlier

" if there are no spiders in a room that you think contains asbestos then it probably is asbestos as spiders die in asbestos but if spiders are there then it probably is not asbestos"

I know this is only a rumour and would obviously carry out proper procedures for asbestos but just wanted to see if any one else has ever heard about this?

The guy who told me was real confident but I suspect a **** take however he assured me a spider specialist told him and was real certain. Was just trying to see if it's ever been thrown out there before I do suspect bull **** though but who knows????

probably ture in that the asbestos will kill them (just like it kills us), but since asbestos is pretty harmless unless cut into / damaged etc, its not really going to affect them. there arent many spiders doing their own DIY

Apparently if you half fill them with water when a cat looks into it makes the cats reflection larger and scares them off thinking they are on a bigger cats territory!

Absolutely brilliant fair play. That's the best I've ever heard lol. Although the canary down the mine is true. It's to do with poisonous gases there lung capacity is smaller so the intake would kill or make them pass out before we would thus indicating time to get the hell out of there!!!! Or so I've been told lol

Eastern European spiders like any conditions and they bring their family and friends into the room too.

I'll take it all back as iv just googled it!!!!

It only happens if there is tartan paint on the walls.

What you have to do is go and get a long weight and tie it to the spiders leg (no matter what country they are from) after this you have a long wait and the asbestos turns to gold.

Forgot to add this only happens on a Friday afternoon

I was on a flat roof yesterday and was looking at her roof that was made of asbestos....spider webs in every corner with healthy looking spiders so guess he's winding you up...or some one is winding him up
