Hi,

Customer wants aerial in upstairs bedroom. The coax comes from aerial on roof clipped down front of terraced house to tv by front room window.

Is it ok to cut into feed half way down and put an outdoor splitter in ip rated box and nick a feed to upstairs bedroom.

Am asking as I don't want to cut the signal down too much that tv won't get good picture in front room. It's a standard tv aerial in medium reception area.

There's no booster in loft just direct from aerial to tv downstairs. About 25 foot of coax

Cheers for any advice

done it loads of times with no problem

you can get T piece F connectors, use F plugs on the coax and wrap in rubber tape. much smaller / neater than a box
