static caused burglar alarm to go off

Possible head scratcher here...i got a call yesterday off my brother every time they get a static shock in the house the burglar alarm go's off although i think the static is normal what with the cold weather and the fact they've just had laminate flooring down etc i cant help thinking theres an earth issue in the house any thoughts on this issue im going on wednesday to check it out.

First step with any random, weird, unexplained symptoms on an alarm system is check the main panel back-up battery. Then identify which zone(s) are actually triggering the alarm. Also if just had laminate floor fitted, check for damaged wiring running under floorcovering in traditional alarm company wiring methods, tuck it behind the carpet gripper!.
