Hi All,

I am starting a mains wiring job next month. First job in the UK so I'm wondering where the best place to buy mains SWA, large sizes 4x150 and 4x240. I've had a look online and have come up with a list of Cleveland Cables, Batt Cables or should I get it through the local wholesaler?

Local wholesalers, where in the UK are you pbrowne? where have you just arrived from? welcome to the forum.

local wholesaler will probably get the cable from the cable supplier you listed, so go to them direct. although cleveland cables is often expensive. i usually use UK cables

Big cable companys' may not trade with you , best to open an account with a wholesaler .

I believe BATT will, well they have in the past so may be worth a try, we had 200m of 200mm(ish)4c off them a few years back.

most will, maybe not give you a trade acount, but cash account and they will

i often use UK cables for small amounts of SWA & tri etc
