Really!? No one told me, Don't you have to use 16mm split con for washing machines due to their high startup current? Don't forget to upgrade the main fuse!

Well,of you get a bit of Split Con, cut the end cleanly, and then look "down the end of it" then you will find it looks like a washing machine on a spin cycle!

But you are assuming its a washing machine, the op is not clear and it could be a dish washer. Now that throws a whole load of different rules and regulations in such as the average coefficient levels of water to electrical frequency separation (which we all know is what gets the plates clean) .

Now BS EN 60456 states dirty pants must not be placed within 500mm of crockery so you have to have a cupboard in-between the dish washer and washing machine.
