Well standard domestic or single phase run (not TT)...

Which do you use?

(I use 3 core)

I would tend concur with you on that one Ext'.

I just like to know I have three "proper" conductors to work with as-well-as me armour!! :) :)

Unless costs make it absolutely infeasible?

but so far...

Cant remember last time I work with 2core SWA? ?:|

(existing installation wiring excluded or course? :D )

I used to use 2 core; but the suppliers don`t keep it any more. Seems there`ve been mutterings r.e. providing an integral earth core. I don`t really find a massive difference in the price; and if the cable in question was below 6mm, I`d normally use 3 core. :D ;)

With larger cables, where the price and "handle-ability" became an issue, I`d use two core. In the last 18 months though, 2 core swa has become like rocking horse poo around here. :O:O

I would always double up for my CPC - so 3core for me - unless going for an external TT - but we won't go there again. Or will we?
Locked and key buried...

In a pile of other scrap metal...

that steptoe is selling to China in the morning! ]:)

So if you want it back....

you will have to be quick! ; \ ; \ :)

3 core for me aswell, maybe a little a young to enjoy the sounds of status quo though!!!! :D

I use 3 core

i like the colours and the sleeving you can put on them :^O :^O

Ah.... Ext is just being twitchy because Coloumb had a go at him on SF! :^O

Hmmmm

I do tend to go 3 core mainly because it seems to have become the norm (yes I'm as guilty as the next), but only last week used 2 core 10mm as a sub to a summer house (TT'd summer house ;) )

Why....well mainly because wholesaler was knocking it out cheap "not that much call for 2 core these days " & it worked with calcs so why not:p.

So maybe peeps (myself included) have become lazy & dont bother with calcs to see if armour is suitable as a cpc.

NICEIC Technical manual has a table that shows if the armour is of sufficient size to act as a CPC. :)

3core inside the zone,

2core outside if Im not exporting.! :D

or else 3core for the earth,

BTW Ive generally found that the sheath is generally OK for the CPC upto 25mm without any calcs.
