not making any sense that SL. in english
With a live to earth short on the 2.5mm swa will a) the cable melt before fuse blows or B) the 63a fuse operates and disconnects the circuit safely before the cable melts ?

So a or b mate ? :)

isn't there a regulation not allowing you to downsize a cable in a circuit other than tiny distances to appliances (e.g. pendants) without fusing?
you can omit overload protection in certain circumstances, but i doubt it would have fault protection

who the **** is backing a 2.5 on 63a!

but if they did clearly the fuse would blow

Which end of the cable?

What is the circuit impedance to the point of the fault?

These will have a BIG bearing on whether the fuse "blows" or the cable is damaged, up to the point the fuse does "blow", which it will, but, which fuse and what collateral damage will be seen in the mean time?...

off the 63A fuse onto a contactor, install a wireless switch to control the contactor, give the customer the keyfob and then he can switch on his tennis court lights from almost anywhere. Coohooool

*didnt read about the 2.5mm

Feed db in 10 or 16mm calcs depending, 4 lighting circuits off db, db switched by contactor.
