SY cable glands

Anyone tried these cable glands SY cable is a right pain to terminate bad day explode

never tried them. the few times i have used SY, braid has been twisted together and connected to earth terminal

Have used this split type glands a lot

The braid is split into two pigtails feed into a slots one each side then the pigtails are clamped between two brass washer tightened down by a locknut .

The GXD type, yes I use them all the time, carry them as van stock, they are a pain in the ar*e, however, when done correctly they offer good mechanical strength which is an advantage in the areas I normally work in!

Don't use sy so can't really comment but if I do will stay clear of them.

Not tried them , stick with the split type I think.
