How can there be similarities between actually carrying out electrical installations , estimating . quoting , ordering materials , organising , maintaining skill levels, pulling cables, setting conduits, soving problems, testing installs, observing H&S, attaining qualifications,  attending faults, breakdowns, keeping the van running , builders not paying you and............................................................Ticking endless boxes on forms . ?

NICEIC DI & NAPIT assessors are as I understand things not employed by the schemes, but subbies who are actually still working contractors?

NICEIC Approved Contractor assessors are all employed, and can be viewed on their website for the area covered.

However I don't think the same can be said for DI assessors though.

Was that not the biggest rip off ever .......when Party Pea come in , the NICEIC already had its established members who were assessed every year and were , presumably ,registered as Competent Persons already but , as far as I know, had to pay yet again to attain Domestic status .  I may be wrong .

Does a member acredited for Industrial / commercial work have to pay again for domestic , Plart Plea Competent Person Staus?

After the first year the fees are very close..

Payment by DD

DI £370 per annum

AC £379 per annum

... However the initial application fee (first year only) pretty much doubles the annual fee for AC's
