I know when insulation testing on domestic lights you take the lamps out before doing a test on the circuit. The floodlights I know you have to take the son e lamps out but can I do a insulation test on these fittings ?It wont damage them will it?
This test l+n to earth with floodlights, flourescents etc, do I still have to take all the lamps out when doing the test or can I leave them in while doing it?RyanI'd do L+N to E and note it on cert
Your statement is incorrect and should not be considered as a realistic option for doing PIR's in the real world working to practical timescales for paying customers.I know when insulation testing on domestic lights you take the lamps out before doing a test on the circuit. The floodlights I know you have to take the son e lamps out but can I do a insulation test on these fittings ?It wont damage them will it?
New installs - full IR testI use test method 2 on most pir's.
