That torch should be bright enough to land the shuttle at that price.

I use:

http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/products.jsp?id=62191&ts=52409

fitted with duracell batteries (I have found they last the best).

It's very good and gives plenty of light both within working range and over 3 to 4 metres for moving around a loft. I also find I can get my bump cap (http://www.screwfix.com/prods/31899/Workwear-PPE/Protective-Clothing/Head-Protection/JSP-Hardcap-A1-Navy-Bump-Cap) on over it. It's also not so expensive that if you lose or break it you'll be crying into your beer.

I also use one of these:

Back to the OP: if you're using your own torch instead of whatever you've been provided, then buy your own batteries.

If you haven't been provided with suitable light for loft or other work, then you should be, so ask for some.

Believe it or not, the best headtorch that I have bought is from a Hong Kong Seller on eBay.

It has 3 LED light settings, oh - and it also has a flashing one too. (So that is 4 settings).

However, my Brother-In-Law, purchased one, sometime after me, and it suffered a failure. :(

Mine is still going strong.

:p

Sounds a bit like mine.

And I am sure it has a lot more than 7 LEDS. :)

It's got 3 brightness levels and a flashing mode.
