Any appetite for spending out on torque screwdrivers yet or ever?

We have been selling them for some time in dribs and drabs to general businesses and in a larger volume to national contractors and FM companies.

We have the chance to buy from a new source but need to stock in greater quantity than before, if there was an interest it would mean being able to shift them to forum members at about £28.00 + vat.

Any thoughts?

Also one that covers the required range of torque settings.

I haven't seen one yet!

The thin bladed ones fit into the MCB's & RCBO's.

I got these:

http://www.wiha.com/en/produkte/torque-tools/slim-selection-set-10-pcs.html

But like slipper said the large PZ2 is too big for some RCBO's (electrium) and the small is too small so I end up using the flat head, Also the bits are quite small and easy to loose.

My regulars drivers are these:

Found this torque guide, not sure where from? here perhaps?

I cannot guarantee the accuracy mind.

Agreed

The bits are a bit "weary"....not knackered one yet though

Had an issue with the bits falling out of the standard handle.

Mentioned it at Elex and the UK boss ( Katja ?, v nice lady) gave me a replacement there and then

I also have the multiblade Wiha set....all bits are compatable.

Also have various Wera sets, slim Vario and standard BUT no torque handle.

Oh, and a HAUPA one...but that ( like some of the WERAs ) was a freebie

Just saying

i Bought 1 set already from you a couple years ago.

At that price i can be tempted to get another set, if its decent.

Please see link below, adjustable torque covered

Do they make them with interchangeable bits?

What are the ranges of the individual screwdrivers? Assuming they come in a set. if one screwdriver, what is the torque range?

Also what would be the required torque settings for the majority of connections?

I would be interested, as I posted here http://talk.electricianforum.co.uk/topic/27975-thermal-imaging-camera/#entry384406  :)
Loads of different bits, please check out the link below

I have more Torque drivers than i can shake a faeces encrusted twig at!

But what is there not to like about an additional one at £28+ VAT?

What sort of blades will they take?

I have a couple of Wiha ones and a few Military spec items left from my diving equipment repair job
I normally get the wrong end of that stick !

Have a look at the link, should answer your questions.

The one I have priced is the 8 bit, the 5 bit is £49.00 + Vat, i know that sounds the wrong way around but the more expensive one

has the adjustable torque handle.

Thank you for all the feedback, let me know if i have missed anything.

Is the 8 piece with torque driver or standard driver?
FORGET EVERYTHING

Torque about f**ing things up, i am sorry, the 8 piece is NOT  torque

The 5 Piece is as standard torgue, you can up grade the 8 piece kit by buying the torque handle and or T-Bar.

Sorry to have giving the wrong information, i would like to make an excuse but it is down to me being a numpty.

5-piece for £49+vat looks good to me, count me in. Hope others think so too, so that you can order them in.

I already have an interchangeable torque driver, VDE type, but, it only goes to 3Nm, not happy, as some kit I do, where I need to prove torque drivers have been used (customer requirements) require more then 3Nm, and the one Mark is selling does not have an adequate range of bits, even though it goes to 6Nm which would probably cover the torque requirements!

Are PH2 modulo and PZ2 modulo, (plus-minus) or whatever they call them, bits available as extras?

^^^ @ Slipshod, these might be the bits you need for RCD terminals as well as some makes of contactors and thermal overloads etc.

The 5-piece set includes one of the above

As an aside, one of the changes in amd3 (134.1.1) mean that instead of having to follow manufacturers instructions, we now just have to "take account" of them.

With manufacturer torque requirements, we could comply with bs7671 if we tightened them by hand "just a bit more".

I am still going to get a set though.
