Changing to new van I decided not to carry so much stuff .   Actually decision was made for me as old van had bin racking both sides ..........new one has a side door so racking one side only.

Amazing how much gear is now piled in my garage that has come out of the old Escort .

Well I think you are right there Zee .

I thought it was empty this morning till I found ...inside the back doors cavity....... the following  :

1 tow rope.

1 first aid pack .

1 Hi-Viz waistcoat.

Bits of rope for tying ladders to roof rack.

1 Warning of Death  sign.

1 set  jump leads .

1 Metal detector.

2 Packs of Tywraps.

Just thought about looking under the seats now ..........   dread to think what may be lurking under there.

It was a small car derived van made by Ford , Ninthy  :innocent    Or did you mean Zee's typo for TaRdis ......  a small car derived Time Travel Machine made  by Ford in the style of a fifties Police Call Box ........ far bigger on the inside than the outside ....a feat they have never managed to repeat

I too have been transfering to my new van this week.

on the day of the big move i managed to fill up the new van, my garden path, hall way and shed.

Its amazing how much can get crammed in over the years.

I am treating the new van like the space shuttle, everything thing in it has to warrant the weight and space to go in. Everything also has its place.

Well thats the plan, i only picked it up on Tuesday

That was my plan too Pewt ...I've stuck to it so far .

What van do you have now ?

We had a Transit years ago and learned that you can pile stuff in those and never see it again .    We piled stuff in just because you could .

We changed to a Renault Traffic and on clear out day were finding barmy stuff like a box of 25mm B/E Steel H boxes ............who the hell bought them !!

I have gone from a 2003 VW T4 2.5 TDi 88ps kombi (2 seats in the back for the kids)

to the ultimate

brand new 2014 VW T5 sportline T32 180ps panel van. Black with black wheels still only has 82 miles on the clock.

heated leather seats, xenon headlights, air con, stereo that takes DVD USB and 32gb sd micro card to play MP3 or video files with built in garmin sat nav that also integrates with my mobile phone. Even electric windows.

i have entered the 21st century. ..... electric windows.....

Its amazing, and generates so much interest. Even middle aged women that dont like cars wet there knickers when they see it.

I have a black VW Transporter similar to that - Its hasn't been washed for 2 years now (since i got it)…...
That is shocking abuse of a transporter. I will contact T5 forum and report you.
