I need red / black because it's for a DC supply between a voltage regulator and tank (see electro plating thread) and thats the lengths I need. 6.0mm because thats the manufacturers spec!

I've had a look on ebay and there are a few sellers there selling short lengths, so I'll be getting so there

Why red and black ? DC cable colours are harmonised too ! Either brown, blue or grey depending on if its a positive or negitive earth system.

TBH 4 or 5 meters of each for +ve and -ve (whatever the correct colours are) would be more than enough.

They are run external from the DC voltage regulator cabinet and lugged onto the rods at the tank.

Let me know how much you want as customer will be billed in the end..

On a side note,,, I still need to get my domain transferred

try Batts cable. 01322 441165... i know it is not local at all for u, but they do serve the entire UK... its worth a go for sure..

Universal black would be great, but I'll have to find a way to mark the ends (maybe heat shrink)

Like I said earlier,,, let me know how much and I'll post the money, customer is paying in the end:)

Will 10metres do you??

If so, then any figure greater than

Canoe,

The DC regulators terminals are marked red and black, so +ve and -ve would be best..

As the regulator supplies 2 tanks (in parallel) I'd need 7+ve and 4-ve,,, but I could easily heat shrink if I have to..

Let me know how much and I'll sort it out.

Cheers

Any chance you and Kerching want to get together and do the job for me???? ;) ; ) ;) ; )

Can I just ask why it has to be tri rated cable?

IIRC from my industrial machinery days, tri rated just means it complies with several different international standards, so you can use the same cable in your control panels and sell them wordwide without modification.

This is clearly a one off application, so as I understand it, it does NOT need to be tri rated, it just needs to comply with the standards of the country it's being used in.
