Not good!!

Though to be honest if you go to my local wholesalers and ask for PVC internal corners, external corners or flat 90's they would have to order them in as very few people buy them!

Untrained retards. Most customers just don;t see how truly awful this sort of stuff is.

I fitted some dado trunking for an insurance office with sockets and structured cabling in. Loads of bends internal and external. Took my woodworking mitre drop saw and measured and cut very carefully. Used decorators filler where there was even the smallest gap. Customer very pleased with the result.

Now you see the problem.

They probably got paid more than you did.

We are just perfectionists, I am sorry but we are.

In future I will not cut any pvc trunking to the correct length and will leave inspection gaps in all my work, and charge extra for the time it takes to make such gaps possible.

:)

The thing is data cabling can be done by any monkey really and this shows it!
Well, to some extent. This shows trunking can be done badly by any idiot, the horrendous trunking may or may not contain a well installed data cabling system. There's a world of difference between 'working' and 'properly installed' from a technical point of view, disregarding trunking mishaps.

You can judge a lot by the standard of things like how well things are screwed to the wall, what sort of standard is the trunking etc, if the trunking looks like this I would be 90% certain that corners have been cut on the data install too.

did a dado job a few weeks back

loads of sockets and data being fed from below

we put all the data boxes in for them,,cut all the lower dado for them and left it laid out for them to put on when they had finished

did they ? did they bo@@oc**

they are all twits

Used decorators filler where there was even the smallest gap.
Problem with that is, sometimes, it defeats the object of the dado to some extent, although I've done the same on many occasions. I much prefer a dado installation with no filler\silicone whatsoever.

Often find that data cabling/telecoms/CCTV engineers are the worst offenders. A lot of them just cable tie their cables to our conduit.

We tell our customers to make sure they do it neatly, but do they listen? Do they f**k. headbang
