I had an extension built 3 years ago, did my own wiring and testing and gave copy of the certificate to the inspector at the end of the job.Im not with a part p scheme as i mainly do commercial work, but they were happy with this as long as they got there certificate.Mind you, this was Mid Sussex Council, and they dont really seem to have a clue about part P for some reason.
